What is Solono?

Many of us often find ourselves dining alone, even though we prefer to eat with others. Solono is designed to help us never eat alone again. If you want to

  • try out a new restaurant

  • eat at a shared food restaurant like hotpot or bbq

  • you just moved to the town and don’t know anyone yet

  • you want to meet new people and make friends

  • you are at work and want to network

  • you are tired of messaging people on the friend making apps

  • you are tired of joining socializing events that have too many people

  • you are traveling alone but would rather eat with someone

  • even just that you are tired of the endless scrolling on dating apps and would like to naturally meet someone

Whatever your reason might be, Solono will be with you.

Solono is created with the principle ‘user safety is our first priority’. Follow the below link to learn more about our safety guidelines and features.

Safety features

User safety review system

You can view the safety rating of a meal mate before you match with them. After each meet, you will have the opportunity to rate how safe you felt with your meal mate. This rating focuses only on your sense of security and helps us ensure a safe experience for others.

Event-based messaging

Our Event-Based Messaging system allows you to converse with your meal partner only after you match. The chat remains active until the end of the day of the meal, providing time to exchange any necessary information post-meal. Once the day of the meal is over, the chat history will disappear, maintaining your privacy and preventing any unwanted contact.

Ensure a seamless meal

  • Check out your meal mate’s profile before meeting. This will help you find topics for conversations.

  • Communicate and plan logistics of reservations.

  • Keep your conversations respectful of your meal mate’s views and opinions that might be different from yours.

  • Promptly communicate delays and cancellations.

  • Make sure to pay your own bill or split promptly.

  • Most importantly, follow our safety guidelines throughout the meal.

  • Rate your dining partner post meal for safety to help others on their next meal.
